The Personal Data Protection Service conducted a training session for representatives of the regional media in Adjara

The Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia held a training session for regional media representatives in Adjara, focusing on the new Law of Georgia "On Personal Data Protection," important updates, implementation issues, and the balance between personal data protection and freedom of expression.

The meeting was opened by Prof. Dr. Dr. Lela Janashvili, the President of the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia, along with the First Deputy President of the Service, Dr. Otar Chakhunashvili.

The President of the Service, Prof. Dr. Dr. Lela Janashvili, emphasized the role and importance of the Service in the field of human rights protection during a meeting with media representatives.  

Prof. Dr. Dr. Lela Janashvili also spoke about the achieved progress and the special role of the media in the process of raising public awareness.

The Head of the Private Sector Oversight Department - Archil Javelidze and The Head of the Office of President - Nikoloz Popiashvili gave a presentation on important issues and news to the media representatives.

Representatives from TV, radio, online, and print media attended the training.

The meeting was held in Batumi at the new office of the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia, located at Baku Street #48.
