The Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia participated in the event: The Way of Privacy "Ruta de la Privatidad"

The Personal Data Protection Service, in coordination with the "Institute of Transparency, Public Information and Protection of Personal Data" (ITEI) of the State of Jalisco, Mexico, the "National Institute of Transparency, Access to Information and Protection of Personal Data" (INAI) of Mexico, and the Personal Data Protection and "National Transparency System" ("SNT"), participated in the event titled "Ruta de la Privacidad" (The Way of Privacy) at the invitation of the "Personal Data Protection Commission" (CPDP). Ana Tokhadze, the Head of the Department of International Relations, Analytics, and Strategic Development of the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia, took part in the conference, which was held in a hybrid format. The event focused on the theme of "Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions" and provided a platform for discussing current issues related to personal data protection.

The event commenced with a welcome speech delivered by the leaders of the organizing institutions, including the commissioners from the Mexican "National Institute of Transparency, Access to Information and Protection of Personal Data" (INAI). During the panel session of the conference, Ana Tokhadze presented a report highlighting the mandate of the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia and the Service's experiences in the field of protecting the personal data of minors. The report covered recent legislative changes in the area of personal data protection for minors and activities aimed at increasing public awareness. Following the presentation, a panel discussion took place among the conference participants.
