The Service conducted training for the employees of the LEPL- Information Technology Agency.

The Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia conducted an informational training for the employees of the LEPL-Information Technologies Agency regarding the changes provided for by the new law of Georgia “On Personal Data Protection”.

The discussion during the meeting revolved around the changes introduced by the new law and their connection with the existing regulations. Emphasis was placed on the concepts and mechanisms established by the new law, which encompassed topics such as audio monitoring, the role of the personal data protection officer, the right to data portability, automated decision-making, breach notification, data protection impact assessment, and administrative penalties. 

The meeting was held in a hybrid format and was attended by about 50 employees of the agency.

The training was led by the Head of the Legal Department of the service - Davit Karashvili, the lawyer of the Legal Department - Saba Elizbarashvili and the acting Head of the Department of Information Technologies and Monitoring - Gocha Chaduneli.

In the future, representatives of the Personal Data Protection Service will actively conduct informative public lectures and training sessions regarding the changes introduced by the new law.
