An informative lecture/training on personal data protection issues was held for the students of "Saduni" school

The Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia conducted an informational lecture/training on personal data protection issues for high-class students of "Saduni" school.

Before the commencement of the training, the President of the Service addressed the schoolchildren. According to Prof. Dr. Dr. Lela Janashvili, the educational field is one of the main priorities for the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia. The president emphasized the significance of the privacy of personal information and raising awareness among minors, and extended her best wishes for the students' success.  

The meeting covered general issues of personal data processing, taking into account the best interests of minors, such as a review of legal terms, concepts, and competence of the Service in the field of personal data protection, legal grounds, and principles of data processing, data security, the lawfulness of data processing in the social network/media space, minors as Rights of data subjects, etc.

The training session was led by Lika Kobaladze, the Deputy Head of the Public Sector Oversight Department of the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia, and Joni Choniadze, the Deputy Head of the Law Enforcement Sector Oversight Department.

During the meeting, practical cases were discussed with the participation of students, interesting questions were posed, and a small discussion was held among the participants regarding ensuring the realization of the rights of minors in the field of personal data protection.
