President of Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia Held Meeting with Chairman of Farmers' Association

Prof. Dr. Dr. Lela Janashvili, the President of the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia, recently convened a meeting with Nino Zambakhidze, the Chairman of the Farmers' Association, and Tamar Tordia, the Director of the Association. The meeting was also attended by Dr. Otar Chakhunashvili - the First Deputy Head of the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia; Gela Gelashvili – Deputy President, along with other representatives from the Farmers' Association.

During the meeting, Lela Janashvili provided an overview of the mandate, functions, and activities of the Personal Data Protection Service to the guests.

Discussions centered on the challenges and identified issues within the private sector regarding personal data processing. The meeting underscored the importance of instilling a culture of data protection within private institutions and ensuring their compliance with organizational and technical measures mandated by the law. 

Furthermore, discussions also encompassed plans for future cooperation between the Personal Data Protection Service and the Farmers' Association. The service expressed its commitment to offer comprehensive consultative support to the association.

The Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia intends to continue engaging in similar format meetings actively in the future.
