The President of the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia Held a Meeting with Georgia's Public Defender

Prof. Dr. Dr. Lela Janashvili, the President of the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia, recently met with Levan Ioseliani, the Public Defender of Georgia. During the meeting, she extended her congratulations to Ioseliani on his election to the position and wished him success in his upcoming endeavors.

The President of the service provided the ombudsman with insights into the challenges pertaining to personal data protection in the country, discussed the agency's ongoing initiatives, current projects, and outlined future plans.

Both parties emphasized the paramount importance of close cooperation and collaboration between their authorities.  

The meeting was attended by Deputy Public Defender - Tamar Gvaramadze, First Deputy Head of the Personal Data Protection Service – Dr. Otar Chakhunashvili, as well as heads of various departments within the service, including those responsible for private sector oversight, law enforcement oversight, and planned inspections: Archil Javelidze, Ia Kiphiani, and Sophio Shamugia.
