The Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia conducted an Informative Training for Schoolchildren of the Municipality on Minors' Data Protection in Lagodekhi

The event was held with the support of the European Union (EU) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).

The meeting addressed general issues of personal data processing, taking into account the best interests of minors. These issues included legal bases and principles of data processing, data security, the legality of data processing in the social network and media space, and the rights of minors as data subjects.

The training was conducted by Lika Kobaladze, Deputy Head of the Public Sector Supervision Department at the Personal Data Protection Service. During the meeting, various activities were carried out with the participation of students, interesting questions were posed, and a small discussion took place among the participants regarding the realization of minors' rights in the field of personal data protection. The information lecture was also attended by the mayor of Lagodekhi municipality and his deputy.

In the future, representatives of the Personal Data Protection Service will actively conduct informative public lectures and training sessions in order to raise public awareness.
