Ilia State University Employees Were Delivered a Training on Fundamental Aspects of Personal Data Protection

Ketevan Kratsashvili — a Head of the Public Sector Oversight Department of the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia, conducted training about 130 employees of the Ilia State University on fundamental issues of personal data protection.

Within the framework of the meeting, attention was focused on the lawfulness scheme of personal data processing, the grounds of data processing, security and protection of principles. 

Ketevan Kratsashvili provided the listeners with information about the practice of the Service in relation to educational institutions, including the identified main misconducts and processes pertinent to personal data processing based on the instructions given by the Service.

Educational institutions are one of the most important sectors for the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia because the protection of personal data of minors and students is of particular significance; therefore, similar training sessions and informational meetings will be actively continued in the future
