The Head of Personal Data Protection Service, Dr. Dr. Lela Janashvili and the Head of Special Investigative Service, Karlo Katsitadze met with the Chair of the Legal Issues Committee of the Parliament, Anri Okhanashvili and the Chair of Human Rights and Civil Integration Committee, Mikheil Sarjveladze.

At the meeting, the parties discussed the 12-point plan of the European Commission, one of the points of which refers to the strengthening of the Personal Data Protection Service and Special Investigative Service. The Chairmen of the Committees discussed with the Heads of the Services the specific proposals that will contribute to the institutional development of the respective authorities.  

"I introduced the further institutional development strategy of the Personal Data Protection Service to the Chairmen of the Committees. Our Service should become more efficient and flexible, the right to personal data protection should be guaranteed in Georgia," - announced Dr. Dr. Lela Janashvili.

Personal Data Protection Service will actively cooperate with the Parliament to strengthen the Service and ensure the implementation of a high standard of personal data protection in the country.
