The Personal Data Protection Service Completed the Cycle of Training Sessions for Notaries, as a result of which 270 Notaries Raised Qualifications in the Field of Data Protection.

The Personal Data Protection Service completed the cycle of training sessions for notaries, as a result of which 270 notaries raised qualifications in the direction of data protection.

6 training sessions were held in the scope of the educational course, and at the end, the Head of the Personal Data Protection Service, Dr. Dr. Lela Janashvili, and the Head of the Chamber of Notaries, David Putkaradze, handed the certificates to the notaries participating in the educational course.

The series of training sessions were provided by employees of the Personal Data Protection Service: Ketevan Kratsashvili, Sopio Shamugia, and Salome Kurasbediani.  

The training course took into account the specifics of notarial activities. Therefore, the participants discussed such essential topics as the significance of personal data protection, the legal framework, the mandate and competence of the Service, the scheme of the lawful processing of personal data, data security and minors' data, also personal data processing related to labor relations and the provision of the services. In the training framework, notaries got familiar with the practice of the supervisory authority and received specific recommendations for establishing the appropriate standard of data protection in notarial activities.

Raising public awareness of personal data protection is a priority of the Service. The Service will continue sectoral training events within the framework of public awareness-raising.
