A Three-day Training Was Held on Inspection Methodology for the Staff of the Personal Data Protection Service

A three-day training was held for the staff of the Personal Data Protection Service. The training was carried out by the experts from the Offices of Saxon Data Protection Commissioner and German Federal Data Protection Commissioner.

The event was opened by the First Deputy Head of the Personal Data Protection Service, Dr. Otar Chakhunashvili. Within the framework of the training, various aspects of inspection methodology were discussed: scope, purposes and stages of inspection, factors to be taken into account when drawing up an annual inspection plan; Also, internal organizational procedures and documents of German Supervisory Authorities, types and instruments of inspections, as well as rights and duties of the data controller when preparing a final report of the inspection.

The training was conducted in an interactive manner and was attended by up to 25 staff members of the Service. The expert mission was implemented in the framework of the Technical Assistance and Information Exchange Instrument (TAIEX) of the European Commission and was aimed to implement the best European experience in the activities of the Service.
