A Memorandum of Understanding Was Signed Between the Personal Data Protection Service and Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency

In Croatia, Dubrovnik, the Head of the Personal Data Protection Service, Dr. Dr. Lela Janashvili and the Director of the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency, Zdravko Vukić signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

The Memorandum envisages holding various joint activities and events in the field of personal data protection, including organizing working meetings and conferences.

Dr. Dr. Lela Janashvili noted that the signing of the Memorandum with the Croatian Personal Data Protection Agency is symbolic, as Croatia is the last country which gained EU member status. According to her, the experience of the Croatian supervisory body on the path of Georgia's European integration is particularly important.

Zdravko Vukić, for his part, expressed readiness for closer future cooperation and sharing of European best practices for Georgia.

It is noteworthy that the Head of the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia is paying a visit to Croatia to attend the SPRING CONFERENCE. Dr. Dr. Lela Janashvili will deliver a speech at the conference of supervisory authorities. Ana Tokhadze, the Head of the International Relations, Analytics and Strategic Development Department of the Personal Data Protection Service also participates in the conference and its working group.
