A Public Lecture on Personal Data Protection Issues was Held for Schoolchildren and Teachers in Bolnisi

The Personal Data Protection Service delivered a public lecture on personal data protection issues for schoolchildren and teachers in Bolnisi, at Ioane Bolneli School of the Patriarchate of Georgia. The meeting was led by the Senior Lawyer of the Public Sector Oversight Department, Salome Kurasbediani.

The lecture focused on the importance of personal data protection issues, especially the rights of minors and the mandate of the Service. Personal data processing while using social media and practical examples were also discussed. The meeting was conducted interactively. The schoolchildren asked questions on the issues topical to them, got interested in their rights, in what cases and how to apply to the Service.  

The purpose of the meeting was to raise awareness of schoolchildren on the importance of personal data protection. In the future, the Personal Data Protection Service will actively continue to carry out informational public lectures.
