The First Deputy Head of Personal Data Protection Service, Dr. Otar Chakhunashvili Took Part in the Seventh Meeting of the EU-Georgia Association Committee

The First Deputy Head of the Personal Data Protection Service, Dr. Otar Chakhunashvili took part in the seventh meeting of the EU-Georgia Association Committee. At the meeting, the parties discussed a broad spectrum of EU-Georgia cooperation, as well as, implemented and ongoing reforms.

The conference was led by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Teimuraz Janjalia, and co-chaired by the Director for Russia, Eastern Partnership, Central Asia and OSCE Deputy Managing Director for Europe and Central Asia, Luc Devigne. The conference was also attended by the Ambassador of the European Union in Georgia, Carl Hartzell.  

In the course of the meeting, the participants discussed the activities of the Personal Data Protection Service as one of the segments of the justice, freedom, and security area.

Dr. Otar Chakhunashvili gave a speech on the performance of the mandate of the Service, administrative liability set by the Law of Georgia on Personal Data Protection, as well as, international relations and cooperation of the Service.
