The State Inspector’s Service Held a Meeting with the Personnel Responsible for Data Processing in Public Sector

The State Inspector’s Service held a first working meeting with the personnel responsible for data processing in public entities.

The distance meeting, attended by the representatives of up to 60 public entities was organized at the initiative of the State Inspector’s Service and was aimed to strengthen future cooperation and coordination, as well as to set up flexible communication mechanism to address problematic issues effectively and timely. 

In the course of the event, the participants were provided with the detailed information on steps to be taken with the aim to raise data protection standard and implement preventive measures. In addition, attention was paid to current serious challenged in public sector, such as: security of databases, conducting video surveillance and issues of data protection when issuing public information. In the final part of the event, the participants discussed needs of public entities and opportunities for future cooperation.

The event is part of the activities that the State Inspector’s Service plans to create network of trained and informed civil servants for protection of personal data. The Service welcomes highly responsive engagement from the public agencies, allocation of specific individuals responsible for data processing issues and the readiness expressed for future cooperation.

Close cooperation with public entities will promote prevention of current problems in the process of personal data processing, timely communication between the Service and the entities, and implementation of measures tailored to the needs.
