The Staff of the National Food Agency Underwent a Training on Personal Data Protection Issues

The State Inspector’s Service conducted a remote training on personal data protection issues for the staff of the LEPL National Food Agency. The training course was conducting at the request of from National Food Agency.

To carry out their functions and provide services to citizens, public entities process large amounts of data. The Service aims to ensure a high standard of protection of privacy and personal data through raising civil servants’ qualification.

The participants of the training were introduced to the importance of personal data protection, obligations of data processor organizations, rights of data subjects and security protection issues thereof. Among the topics included in the agenda, the interrelationship between issuing public information and protecting personal data was also covered. In addition to the legislative part, the training also included discussing precedents and cases from the practice of the State Inspector’s Service. 

The training process was led by the representative of the State Inspector’s Service, Salome Kurasbediani.

Close cooperation with public entities and sharing relevant information and work experience with them is one of the priorities of the State Inspector’s Service. Knowledge gained through the training course will assist civil servants in ensuring high standard of personal data protection and preventing violations in their everyday activities.
