The State Inspector Held a Meeting with the Acting Head of the State Security Service

The State Inspector, Londa Toloraia held a meeting with the acting Head of the State Security Service of Georgia, Grigol Liluashvili.

Within the frames of the meeting, Londa Toloraia and Grigol Liluashvili discussed the role of the State Inspector’s Service in terms of monitoring covert investigative activities and coordination mechanisms between the authorities in this regard.  Furthermore, the State Inspector informed an acting Head of the State Security Service about the steps taken for effective implementation of investigative mechanism and existing challenges.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Inspector, Giorgi Gamezardashvili, the Head of Law Enforcement Sector Oversight Department, Giorgi Mindiashvili, the Deputy Heads of the State Security Service: Alexander Khojevanishvili, Shengeli Pitskhelauri, Giga Nikoleishvili and the Head of the LEPL Operative-Technical Agency, Koba Kobidze.

On 1 November 2019, the investigative power of the State Inspector’s Service’s will enter into force.
