Training for the Administration of Georgian Institute of Public Affairs

The Office of the Personal Data Protection Inspector held a training on personal data protection for the Program Managers, Program Coordinators and the staff of Administration of Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA).

Within the framework of the meeting with the Training Manager of the Inspector’s Office, Natalia Mikeladze, the participants discussed the Law of Georgia on Personal Data Protection, the Inspector’s mandate, principles and legal grounds for data processing, video surveillance and data subject’s rights.

The participants were particularly interested in the topics of the transfer of the personal data to third parties, request of information, the right to rectification or erasure of data and data security.

Last year, the Inspector’s Office conducted 31 trainings for private and public organisations for more than 800 participants overall.
