Tamar Kaldani Met with the Members of Campaign This Affects You

The Inspector of Personal Data Protection Office (IPDP), Tamar Kaldani and the Deputy Inspector, Nikoloz Bregvadze met with the campaign members called This Affects You, which unites dozens of leading non-governmental organizations, on May 19, 2016.

The topic of the discussion was a project of legislative amendment prepared by the non-governmental organizations.

The Office of the IPDP representatives studied the legislative amendments and presented their ideas on the project.

“We circumstantially acquaintance the proposal of the campaign members and discussed the issues with them, including how the role of the inspector is defined and if there is the possibility of overlapping of it on the control mechanism of the Parliament, “Tamar Kaldani said.

The inspector also discussed the order of the Constitutional Court, believed the Court made a very important decision about the surveillance regulations including supervisory role.

Our goal has always been to create more solid guarantees of private life and thus we have been activity involved in lawmaking process and also plan to continue discussions with interested groups about the positions, the same visions as well as discuss the functions of the supervisory institution,” the Inspector said.
