In the framework of the European Union Visitors Prorgamme Mrs. Tamar Kaldani, Personal Data Protection Inspector met the representatives of the Committees of the European Parliament and the European Commission, as well as the European Data Protection Supervisor on February 8-12, 2016 in Brussels. During the meetings personal data protection reforms in the EU and Georgia were discussed.

“At the end of 2015, an agreement on EU’s common Regulation was reached. The Regulations will establish unified standards on personal data protection in the EU member states, more guarantees for the protection of data subjects’ rights and effective mechanisms thereof. Sharing this experience is very important for Georgia, since intensive work is carried out toward implementation of European standards on personal data protection” – stated Mrs. Tamar Kaldani.
