The Office of Personal Data Protection Inspector operates only for 2 years. Already for the second time we have been awarded for ensuring access to public information. As other public authorities, Inspector’s Office is accountable before the society and we are happy to implement high standards on access to public information. This day once again proved that it is possible to strike a balance between public information and personal data protection – stated Personal Data Protection Inspector.

The Office of Personal Data Protection Inspector responded to IDFI’s every request thoroughly, within the given timeframes and showed 100% result on access to public information.

IDFI evaluates level of transparency of public bodies in the framework of the project “Public Information Database - www.opendata.ge” since 2010. The project is carried out with the support of Open Society-Georgia Foundation.
