Visit of Georgian Delegation To The Council Of Europe

On November 16-19, 2015 the Delegation of Georgia payed official visit to the Council of Europe, Strasbourg, France. The aim of the visit was to introduce ongoing reforms, including those undertaken in the sphere of personal data protection in Georgia to the European counterparts and experts.

The Delegation of Georgia held thematic meetings with the Human Rights Commissioner of the Council of Europe, Mr. Nils Muiznieks, Heads of Secretariat of the Venice Commission, Human Rights Directorate, Human Rights Policy and Cooperation Department, Information Society Department and other officials.

The Delegation was headed by the Prime Minister Representative on Human Rights and Gender Equality, Mrs. Sopio Japaridze. The Personal Data Protection Inspector, Mrs. Tamar Kaldani was a member of Delegation. As stated by the Inspector meetings were productive and the representatives of the Council of Europe reaffirmed their readiness to continue close collaboration between Georgia and the Council of Europ
