Training for the Staff of the Office of the Personal Data Protection Inspector

Aspects of accessibility for the persons with disabilities, stereotypes, misconceptions and harmful practices, barriers and opportunities - training for the staff of the Office of the Personal Data Protection Inspector was held.

The training held on 25-26 October at the Office of the Inspector aimed to inform the staff of the Office about the appropriate vocabulary and rules of conduct, as well as international and national legislation with regards to the rights of the persons with disabilities.

Within the framework of the training, a film screening also took place, followed by a discussion. Together with interactive lectures and discussions, the training incorporated various practical and role-playing tasks.

The training was held with the assistance of the EU and UNDP joint project “Human Rights for All”, which aims to support protection of human rights in Georgia.

The strengthening of personal data protection in Georgia is one of the priorities of “Human Rights for All”, the joint initiative of the European Union and United Nations. With the budget of over EUR 4 million, the three-year programme supports the implementation of the National Human Rights Strategy and Action Plan.
