Tamar Kaldani is attending the T-PD Consultative Committee Meeting

Guidelines on safeguarding privacy in the Media, practical guide on the use of personal data in the police sector and draft modernised version of Convention 108 – the 35th Plenary Meeting of the Consultative Committee of Convention for the Protection of Individuals with regard to Automatic Processing of Personal Data is taking place in Strasbourg. The Personal Data Protection Inspector, Tamar Kaldani represents Georgia on the Meeting.

Within the scope of the meeting, the Committee will take note of the Draft Recommendation on the protection of health-related data, prepared by the Committee. The Committee members will discuss and adopt the practical guide on the use of personal data in the police sector together with the discussion of consolidated text of modernised version Convention 108 and the recent guidelines on safeguarding privacy in media activities.

The Committee will further hear the 2015-2017 Activity Report of the Council of Europe Data Protection Commissioner, the representative of the European Court of Human Rights will present the compilation of the recent case law of the ECHR concerning the protection of personal data.
