The Office of the Personal Data Protection Inspector of Georgia participates in the 62th Berlin Group Meeting

Modern technologies and related challenges in terms of personal data protection, cyber-bullying, personal data protection in social networks and artificial intelligence – The Office of the Personal Data Protection Inspector is participating in the 62th meeting of International Working Group on Data Protection in Telecommunications (Berlin Group) in Paris, France.

Within the framework of the 27-28 November meetings, the participants discuss the abovementioned topics and recommendations with regards to personal data protection issues in telecommunication and technologies. Along with the representatives of the personal data protection authorities and international experts, the staff of the Inspector’s Office are also attending the meeting, namely Ani Nozadze, Head of International Relations Department and Salome Bakhsoliani, Head of Legal Department are participating in the discussions.

The Office of the Personal Data Protection Inspector became the member of the Berlin Group on 21 March, 2016. The group aims to elaborate recommendations to improve data protection in telecommunications, including internet. The group consists of data protection authorities, as well as other public agencies, international organizations and experts from all over the world.
