For the first time, on May 26, 2015 the Office of the Personal Data Protection Inspector took part in the Independence Day Event held on Rustaveli Avenue with the message – protect our private lives together.

Inspector’s Office offered guests a number of activities, including signature of the Declaration of Privacy and Personal Data Protection. Symbolically, Tamar Kaldani was the first to sign the declaration, followed by the Deputy Inspector Nika Bregvadze.

Citizens had the possibility to opt-out from advertising messages and to receive professional legal consultations at the specially arranged tent.

Individuals were given the opportunity to take photos with the amusing banners on privacy and personal data protection on the set arranged at the tent. Magician, clown and animator were entertaining children.

“Our Office is taking part in this event for the first time. This is a good opportunity to inform individuals on the importance of personal data protection, their rights and activities of the Office of the Personal Data Protection Inspector. Interest is very high, lots of people stop by and ask for contact information; our shooting set proved to be most attractive for children as well as adults, which makes us very happy” – stated Tamar Kaldani.
