Consultations on the Visa Liberalization Process will be held in Paris

A meeting with the representatives of the EU member state countries in the framework of the Visa Liberalization process will be held on March 23, 2015 in Paris. The meeting will be attended by the Head of the International Relations Department of the Personal Data Protection Inspector's Office, Mrs. Nino Sarishvili.

During the meeting Georgian delegation will provide the European representatives with the latest developments in the implementation process of the EU-Georgia Visa Liberalization Action Plan, including the reforms related to the personal data protection.

According to the statement made by Ms. Nino Sarishvili, the Law on Personal Data Protection of Georgia has been amended twice in 2014, through which the areas of the activity and mandate of the Inspector have been expanded. “Currently, the process of implementation of the legislation is actively carried out; we are closely cooperating with public and private organizations in order to establish the high standards of the data protection, in addition, our priority is to raise public awareness regarding to the data protection. Above mentioned issues will be discussed today, in Paris”. – said Mrs. Nino Sarishvili.
