The Plenary Session of the Council of Europe Personal Data Protection Committee (T-PD) took place in Strasbourg

On June 1-4 the plenary session of the Council of Europe Personal Data Protection Committee (T-PD) was held in Strasbourg. The following issues were discussed during the meeting: modernization of the Convention 108, the revision of the Council of Europe Committee of Ministers Recommendation on the Protection of the Personal Data used for the Employment Purposes, Recommendation on the Protection of the Medical Data, etc.

The representative of the Office of the Personal Data Protection Inspector of Georgia, the Head of the International Relations and Communications Department is participating in the plenary.

Participation in the meetings of the T-PD is important for the Personal Data Protection Authority as it is the opportunity to take part in the elaboration of the international standards and to share foreign experience. At the final day of the plenary, on June 4, the elections of the Bureau will be held.

The member states of the Convention 108 for the Protection of the Personal Data with regard to Automatic Processing of Personal Data and observer organizations are attending the meeting.
