Tamar Kaldani is attending T-PD Plenary Meeting

Modernised Convention 108 of the Council of Europe, processing of health-related data, artificial intelligence- the 37thPlenary Meeting of the Consultative Committee (T_PD) is taking place in Strasbourg. Tamar Kaldani, the Personal Data Protection Inspector of Georgia, is participating in the meeting.

Within the scope of the meeting, the participants the state of play with regards to signature, ratification and accession to the modernised Convention for the Protection of Individuals with regard to Automatic Processing of Personal Data (Convention 108), as well as the implementation of evaluation and follow-up mechanism. The agenda of the meeting further comprise discussions about protection of health-related data. Artificial intelligence, law enforcement transborder access to data. The Council of Europe Convention 108 Consultative Committee is one of the leading platforms of international cooperation related to of personal data protection. The Inspector’s Office represents Georgia in the Committee for the fourth year. In June 2018, within the framework of the 34th Plenary Meeting, Tamar Kaldani was elected as first Vice Chair of the Bureau of the Consultative Committee (T-PD) of Convention 108.
