The visit of the personal data inspector of Poland

On May 8, 2014 Personal Data Protection Inspector of Poland, Mr. Wojciech Rafał Wiewiorowski and the Head of the International Relations Department, Ms. Urszula Goral visited the Personal Data Protection Inspector of Georgia, Mrs. Tamar Kaldani and met the staff of the Office of the Personal Data Protection Inspector of Georgia.

Mr. Wojciech Rafał Wiewiorowski got familiar with activities of the Georgian Data Protection Authority. The practice and experience of the Poland and other EU countries related to the inspections, consultations and public awareness rising were discussed during the meeting. The parties stressed the importance of the future cooperation and partnership.

Mr. Wojciech Rafał Wiewiorowski mentioned that the aim of his visit was to share Polish DPA’s 15 year experience with Georgian colleagues and underlined significance of the existence of the Personal Data Protection Authority in the county and that the PDA of Poland is ready for future cooperation. Mrs. Tamar Kaldani emphasized the importance of the visit: “The visit of the Personal Data Protection Inspector of Poland is important not only for experience sharing but also because Poland coordinates partnership of the Central and Eastern European Countries on the personal data protection issues”.

Mr. Wojciech Rafał Wiewiorowski attended the event dedicated to the European Day hosted by the Chairman of Parliament, Mr. Davit Usupashvili.
