Georgia Became a Member of the Central and Eastern European Personal Data Protection Authorities (CEEDPA)

The Office of the Personal Data Protection Inspectors acceded to the Central and Eastern European Personal Data Protection Authorities (CEEDPA). On the 16thmeeting of the CEEDPA, Georgia presented to the member countries the basic directions of the activities of the Personal Data Protection Inspector of Georgia and state of data protection in the Country. According to the decision of the member states Georgia became the member of the union.

Central and Eastern European Personal Data Protection Authorities is the association of the supervisory authorities of the 17 countries. The member include: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Chez Republic, Croatia, Hungary, Lithuania, Montenegro, Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Macedonia, Romania, Moldova, Slovakia, Serbia, Ukraine.

The CEEDPA aims to support the implementation of international standards and best practices of data protection in each country, by sharing experience between its member states.
