Statement of the Personal Data Protection Inspector on the so-called “Peoples Meters” Related Issue

Transparency International – Georgia, International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy (ISFED) and Media Development Foundation (MDF) on March 8, 2014 disseminated the statement on recording of the so-called “people meters” by the Revenue Service of Georgia within the scope of the inspection of the “TV MI Georgia”. Non-governmental organizations negatively assess the request of the Ministry of the family addresses where the equipment is located and call upon the Inspector to react on the mentioned case.

Accordingly, the Personal Data Protection Inspector recommends the parties to address the Business Ombudsman as well.
