The meetings across Georgia's regions persist to acquaint individuals with the updates brought by the recently enacted Georgian law "On Personal Data Protection"

The cycle of meetings continues in the regions of Georgia in order to familiarize with the news provided by the new law of Georgia “On Personal Data Protection”. This time, the representatives of the Service introduced the legislative changes to the employees of the administration of the state representative of the Samtskhe-Javakheti region and the self-governing bodies (city hall/council). At the meeting, the Head of the Public Sector Oversight Department of the Service - Ketevan Kratashvili, the Head of The Department of Planned Inspections - Sofia Shamugia and the Head of The Law Enforcement Sector Oversight Department - Ia Kipiani reviewed such important issues as: updated data processing bases, principles, data subject rights, profiling, porting, audio and video monitoring, data protection impact assessment, personal data protection officer, changes in penalties and non-compliance with legal service requirements and breach notification.

In order to get acquainted with the news provided by the law, the Service will continue active meetings in different formats in the future.
