The Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia continues to hold regional meetings regarding the changes envisaged by the new law. The next meeting was held with representatives of self-governments in Samegrelo Zemo Svaneti area. Representatives of Zugdidi, Abasha, Martvili, Mestia, Senaki, Chkhorotsku, Tsalenjikha and Poti municipalities attended the meeting.

The purpose of the meeting was to inform the audience about the changes provided for by the new law of Georgia "On Personal Data Protection", including updated data processing bases, principles, data subject rights, profiling, porters and other important issues, which will simplify the process of implementing the law.

Ketevan Krastashvili, head of the Public Sector Oversight Department of the Personal Data Protection Service of Georgia, Sofia Shamugia, Head of The Department of the Planned Inspections, and Ia Kipiani, the Head of the Law Enforcement Sector Oversight Department, informed the audience about the changes.

The Personal Data Protection Service actively continues meetings with different target groups.
